They say it takes 21 days to develop a habit, why not take 4 weeks to train your mind to be more present, calm, and joyful on a daily basis?

Join Mindfulness Meditation teacher Alicia Anderson from Greyback for a 4 week Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation workshop and learn different mindfulness practices (in the form of sitting meditation, mindful eating, and active listening) to help you become more calm, present, and engaged in the daily moments of your life.

You’ll learn:

  • What mindfulness is and looks like in real life,

  • The benefits of creating a daily practice

  • How to be mindful of your body

  • Working with difficult emotions

  • How to be kinder to yourself and your thoughts,

  • Techniques to feel more joy and compassion

  • Setting up a mindfulness practice that works in your life

Instead of reacting to your thoughts, experiences, or people around you, you’ll start to respond to life’s moments with a bit more ease, kindness, and less judgment. Whether you’ve never meditating before or practice often, if you’re a busy parent, a college student, a retiree, or just interested, this workshop is for you.

Where: Balance Yoga Center, Redding, CA

When: Tuesday nights in May and early June, 7:15pm- 8:15pm (5/14, 5/21, 5/28, 6/4)
