8 steps to slow down

It’s all about taking time for yourself. Give yourself 30 minutes to get ready for bed.

  1. Light a candle in your bathroom + palo santo your room if you’re into that kinda thing.

  2. Start with dry brushing. Dry brush your entire body, watch this video to learn how.

  3. Wash that face but slow it down. Massage in your cleanser and massage all over for about 1-2 minutes. We love Botnia’s Balancing Oil Cleanser to start (removes all makeup, dirt, impurities) and a second cleanse with their Gentle Cleanser. Fact: when skin is stimulated by massage, it also encourages lymphatic drainage. This helps to move toxins out of cells and opens up the flow for beneficial nutrients, perking up a lackluster complexion and lifting sagging or tired skin.

  4. Apply your favorite mask.

  5. Bath vs. Shower (your preference)

    • Bath takers: Add 20 drops of your favorite essential oils (eucalyptus and lavender are favorites for de-stressing, warming oils like frankincense and cinnamon are great too!) and 1-2 cups of Magnesium Flakes (super charged mineral to help sooth joints, muscles and anxiety).

    • Shower takers: Drop oils farthest from the drain, the oils will turn your shower into an essential oil steam shower.

  6. Dry yourself off slowly.

  7. Massage your body slowly with your favorite body oil (a simple jojoba, almond, or coconut oil are great).

  8. Slip on your favorite pj’s. Enjoy!
